Questions about this grain-free cereal recipe
What if I don’t have a microwave? You can either heat boiling water on the stove and pour it over the cereal mix – probably the easiest – or put the mix plus the water in a pot and heat over low heat on the stove, mixing continuously.
Can I make this recipe ahead of time? Great question! What you can do is make the mix – portion it out in glass jars or baggies if you’re okay with plastic. When ready to heat, simply pour into a bowl and make!
Is coconut flour considered a grain? Coconut flour is made from the meat of fresh coconuts. It is a great source of fiber and is low in carbohydrates, and definitely not considered a grain.
Does coconut flour have a taste? While I don’t personally taste the coconut flavor, with the addition of cinnamon in this recipe and because it’s combined with flax and chia seeds, you should definitely not taste the coconut.
